Super Quiz
The team competes on the buzzers.
What it looks like
A video says in thirty seconds what a page explains in a thousand words: how loud it gets, how much laughing there is, what the hands are doing.
What it is
Teams, buzzers and a run of questions. The subjects get chosen beforehand: general knowledge, the history and oddities of a city, or the products, the history and the people of your own company. Quick reflexes, wit and curiosity are the whole kit. Some rounds are won by running, so every team has to field its quickest people as well as its best read.

Buzzer rounds
Super Quiz is the format that trains a team and entertains it at the same time. It’s an absorbing activity that gives people the feeling of being on a television quiz show. Quick reflexes, wit, curiosity: that’s all you need to take your team to a win.
Super Quiz: is the team ready to play?
The legs have to be as quick as the mind. Super Quiz is a moving activity with a physical side to it, and each team fields its fastest, most sporting people to come first in every round.
Questions, surprises, decent prizes: Super Quiz is the format that brings energy and entertainment to your team building.
What subjects does the quiz cover? Almost anything. General knowledge, science, historical and artistic oddities about a country or a city… but the option worth looking at is the quiz built around the company itself.
People compete on what they know about the company’s products, its history, its more and less prominent characters. It makes the event livelier, and it also builds a shared culture and puts the values in front of everyone. For a company whose team has arrived from several different countries, that common ground is worth building deliberately. The day after, people know things about the business that nobody had ever found a way to tell them.
Nothing pulls a room in quite like a Super Quiz
Two or more teams face each other answering questions put by our impartial trainers. The questions can be on a specific theme chosen by the client, or spread across several categories, a bit like a university entrance exam.
Naturally you can choose to build the questions around the brand or the company people work for, and Super Quiz runs indoors or outdoors.
Quizzes have been popular for a long time. Answering questions to find out whether you know the right answer is one of the most durable pastimes there is. The satisfaction it gives is why we end up talking to the television during the evening game shows, or arguing with friends over a board game.
What does this format give a team?
A quiz-shaped team building has plenty of uses, both for the group and for the individual.
For the group, the soft skills involved are the relational ones:
- being in tune with each other
- understanding each other
When you answer, you have to think as a group, and what everybody knows has to be put together so that the pieces complement each other. Competing against other teams means a healthy competitive streak finds room here too.
For the individual, a different set of abilities gets called on.
- Listening: without it, one person’s opinion adds nothing to the group.
- Leadership
- Physical reflexes
- Quick thinking
Judging when you can contribute and when the best contribution is to stay quiet and listen takes a certain sharpness. And not only mental sharpness: after all, the buzzer doesn’t press itself.
When what surfaces deserves an afterwards
An activity surfaces a great deal about how a team communicates, decides and works together, and sometimes what surfaces deserves more time, more depth and a method. That is where a Team Coaching path can begin: a different road, to be taken only if it is needed, to turn what the day made visible into a new way of working together.
